Our Story

Eating healthy should be easy for everyone

For years, medical malpractice defense attorney Stacy Thompson, and husband, Tyler, a professional baseball player-turned-pharmaceutical sales representative, wished someone would open a business that offered healthy, pre-cooked meals they could feed their family of four. That “someone” turned out to be them.

In May 2016, after time spent taking their idea through planning and then execution, The Fresh Fork opened its doors for the first time. Since then, Tyler and Stacy, along with their two children, have devoted countless hours into growing the business to offer the people in Bloomington and the surrounding area the ability to eat both healthy and conveniently.

The Fresh Fork team, which includes both a head chef and a dietitian, dedicate their time to creating recipes that are both healthy and delicious and to fully preparing the meals, so they are ready to just heat and eat.

Tyler and Stacy are residents of Bloomington who attended elementary, middle school and high school in Bloomington. In fact, Tyler was born in Bloomington and Stacy also received both her undergraduate degree and law degree from Indiana University. Creating The Fresh Fork in Bloomington and seeing it flourish is a dream come true for these high school sweethearts who wanted to be able to offer a big city kind of business to their hometown.

Stacy

Owner

Stacy Thompson grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and met her husband when they were both attending the same middle school.  After a relationship that started in high school and lasted through college, law school, and a professional baseball career, Tyler and Stacy married and decided to raise their family in their hometown.

As a full-time working mother with two children who is also dedicated to exercise and healthy eating, Stacy was having difficulty finding the time to meal prep, grocery shop, cook, and package meals so she and her family could eat both healthy and conveniently.  Knowing her situation was not unique, Stacy started The Fresh Fork with the goal of giving women, and men, an easier way to take care of themselves and their family.

There is no such thing as a perfectly balanced life.  But, when you eat healthy and can feed your family in a convenient way, you feel good.  Stacy wants The Fresh Fork to check many things off your to do lists so you can spend more time doing the things that bring you joy.  Rather than a perfectly balanced life, Stacy created The Fresh Fork to help bring people a life that leaves them happy and healthy at the end of each day.
